Graduate Studies Program to Launch in Fall 2020 with Opening of New Building
NEW YORK—The Juilliard School in New York City announces the resident faculty for The Tianjin Juilliard School and that applications for the Saturday Pre-College program for young musicians ages 8 to 18 are now open. The school’s Graduate Studies programs, partnering with The Tianjin Conservatory of Music, all uniquely focused on collaborative musicianship, will launch in fall 2020, coinciding with the official opening of the new building.
The resident faculty members of The Tianjin Juilliard School have played in the world’s top symphony orchestras, have taught at prestigious conservatories, and won awards as soloists and chamber musicians. The Tianjin Juilliard School’s Pre-College program offers a comprehensive, conservatory-style music program for students ages 8-18 who exhibit the talent and potential to pursue serious music study. Pre-College students work with the school’s dedicated, world-class faculty and will be given ample opportunities to perform in solo, chamber, and orchestral concerts. In the fall of 2020, The Tianjin Juilliard School, partnering with The Tianjin Conservatory of Music, will offer U.S.-accredited Master of Music degrees in orchestral studies, chamber music, and collaborative piano, pending approval by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Admission to Graduate Studies will be based on a competitive application and audition process.
